It's the Little Things

Seriously.

Last summer I got a fancy-shmancy-pants new camera. I am still in love! Two weeks ago the little rubber eye cup ripped off, you know that squishy thing around they viewfinder to cushion my eye cause my fancy-shmancy-pants camera doesn't use the screen to take a picture, well yes that thing ripped off. :'( So I ordered a new eye cup. It came erlier this week, HOORAY! I also bought a new camera strap actually it is a camera sling, double HOORAY! This little number rocks my socks off.

Fast forward to last night.

We went to a BBQ some friends had before the fireworks. It was so great to see some much missed friends. I could go all night sitting in a group of friends like that  But we needed to head over to the field for the big fireworks display. I packed up the stroller and started to head over. And then Brad spotted my little brand new teeny tiny eye cup laying on the driveway. Bless him and his knack for noticing random things! I stick it in a pocket and continued over to the field. When we got there and set everyone and everything up I snapped the little thing back on my camera and got some nice shots of the display. After the show we packed up and headed home. When we got home the horror struck. Where was my eye cup?! anger sadness frustration disappointment I guess I won't get that nice little cushion for my eye anymore. boo. I'm too practical to buy another one to just lose it all over again.

This morning I asked Brad if he thought I was being dumb to take the kids back this morning to see if we could find my lost frivolity. He said no, which made sense since he prayed with me last night that I would be able to find it again. So the kiddos and I loaded into the bane of my existence minivan and headed back to look for my treasure. We got there walked right over to where we were sitting and I spotted it right away! Praise God!!! Then the children played on the playground for a few minutes before coming back home.

Recap: I got a fun camera. Broke the eye cup. Got a new eye cup. Took some photos. Lost new eye cup. Slept. Found new eye cup.Played on the playground.
