IKEA Hack

Since Goldilocks is moving into Little Bo Peep's room soon I have been looking for a way to have two toddler beds, a dresser and so many toys and books in one room yet keep myself sane by the layout. I think I finally figured it out! Friday I spent a good part of the day re-organizing the closet. Our closets are small. But I was able to arrange the closet so the girls have access to their shoes and all their Fisher Price Little People toys! And best of all it all looks neat to me!

With a big chunk of the Little People toys out of the room but accessible to the girls I needed a solution for dress-up clothes that were taking over the closet. I turned to my trusty IKEA catalog and this is what I found:

BYGEL rails and hooks.

I bought one 39" and two 21" rails and four packs of hooks. After hanging up the rails I pinched the hooks on with pliers.

Then I hung up all the dress-up clothes and accessories.

Both girls have been playing dress-up all morning!

I found this website a few weeks ago and LOVE it! You can check out other IKEAhacks to get even more ideas.

This is really clever. I've been needing an idea for the insane amount of dress-up clothes we have. Thanks!

Awesome idea! I did something like this the weekend. It was hard to find S hooks like you have... I have to go with something smaller, but it worked so can't really complain :) such a space saver since you dont need hangers! Nice and flush against the wall. I think now I'll have to get some baskets to hang for the 'accessories' haha
