I'm Back

So I've been wanting and itching to blog for weeks now and just haven't been able to find the time. Last week my sister came over for a while and I was able to work on the last post (about our trip), THANK YOU LIL' SIS!!!!!! So now I'm back in the groove and so glad! Plus my Mother's Day gift is helping too. B (and the girls) got me a new laptop!!!! I can go anywhere in the house now and even in the backyard (if I so desire, which I have!).

We have been outside so much this summer. Little Bo Peep loves going out there and playing with her outside village. We were at B's sister's yesterday for a BBQ and I told my brother-in-law that their backyard is looking like ours. He responded, "You mean like someone vomited plastic everywhere?!?" Their twinkins are four months younger than Little Bo Peep so yes our backyards would look similar.

So yes we have been back there a lot. Our gardens are looking great, the lawn has never looked better, and overall the backyard is almost where B and I have wanted it since we moved in. We have been enjoying our hammock and lots of fires in the chimnea. It has been a great summer and it's not even half over!

Okay, Here We Go...

Last month we went on our annual beach trip with B's family to South Carolina. We stay just south of Myrle Beach. This was the first year that the entire family stayed in one house! Eighteen people in one house was a lot, but tons of fun. Little Bo Peep got to play with her cousins so much and both girls got so much love from their family.

Some of our highlights were Backwards Night (obviously), Brook Green Gardens (the zoo and the gardens), Goldilocks' first time in the sand, a visit to the Hammock Shops (where we bought our hammock, FINALLY!), and great walks on the beach!

While we were gone we stopped at B's parents on the way to the beach and on the way home from the beach. The first night of our trip was at his parents with his oldest sister and her family too. So Little Bo Peep and her twin cousins started off the trip with lots of playing. On the ride from my in-laws house to the beach house the twins for about half an hour kept saying Little Bo Peep's name back and fourth. The love each other, they really do!!!

After the week at the beach we went back to my in-law's house for almost a week. Little Bo Peep played on the big wheel every day and when she wasn't on the big wheel she was asking to ride! Needless to say when we got home we found a bike for her!

The time at B's parents was so relaxing. My oldest niece and nephew were there with us too. It was great to spend time with them having little disruptions. My nephew and I had a race with Lego cars we built, Little Bo Peep even joined in and made her own car (with a little help). The pool was closed so Little Bo Peep didn't get to swim nearly as much as she wanted, but she did play in the kiddy pool at the house!

After B's parents we went to my Grandma's house for two days before heading home. It is always wonderful to see her and spend time with her. Goldilocks took to her like nothing else! Plus I got two batches of my Grandma's famous cupcakes!!!

Once we got home we still had a few days before B had to go back to work. The 2 1/2 weeks we had away from work, home and most responsibilities was fabulous. I hope we can take two weeks again next year, having it two years in a row I'm kinda getting used to it!
