Baby News
I went to the doctor today for my weekly checkup and she told me the Braxton Hicks contractions I've been having are doing something. I'm dilated to two centimeters and effaced 50%. This all happened with Little Bo Peep too, I was just a week or two further along with her. My doctor said she doesn't want to see me in the hospital for another week or two so I am to reprimand Goldilocks if she tries to come any earlier. ;) Hopefully having a full day in the kitchen this Saturday will make B and I both more comfortable with our pre-baby project.

Kitchen Update
I'm not posting any new pictures because not much has changed to the naked eye. Even still there is a lot that has been done. We have the electrical work all done! Last Friday a friend from church and her husband came over, he is an electrician. He told us everything we needed to know. He was such a help and a real blessing from God. So Saturday we spent most of the day putting in about 50 feet of new electrical wire, connecting that to the existing wire and adding a new receptacle and three new switches. One of the new switches is for our new motion sensor light switch so now when we walk into the kitchen from either door the light goes on! I know this isn't really that exciting but it is so great to walk in at night and not have to cross a dark kitchen to turn the light on. One of the other new switches is for our new under-cabinet lighting that will be going in when the cabinets go up. After the electrical work was done on Saturday another friend from church came over, he has been helping a lot and is also such a blessing to have along side of us. He and B took out two more parts of our wall and then reassured me that other than the floor that would be the last of anything coming out of the kitchen. I am getting discouraged that things keep coming out and nothing is going back into the kitchen. One of the walls they took out is for our new refrigerator. All refrigerators are so deep now and we were measuring our old refrigerator so we are making a little cove for the new one to fit. They have to cut some studs down and put new ones in going the other way so we will have a few more precious inches so the refrigerator won't stick out into the doorway. Hopefully the drywall will be going up this weekend and then the painting and new floor can happen, followed by cabinets, plumbing, and new appliances. This weekend may be hard to work because both B and our friend from church will be helping with the Extreme Makeover through our church on Saturday, so we'll see how much they can do this weekend.
I was bummed I wouldn't be able to help with the makeover this year. Last year Little Bo Peep was still nursing and we had only been at the church for a short while so we didn't help out. There is no way I would be able to help this year so I just thought I would wait til next year. Then I got a call on Sunday asking if I could make some pictures for the little girls room like I had done for Little Bo Peep's room. I was so excited to get to help out, even if it was in such a small way. So here are the pictures I did for her room.

I wish I could do this for a living. I had so much fun picking out papers and putting together a new group of images for this room. Of course I wouldn't have been able to do these without my mom's help and some of her scrapbooking supplies. It was a challenge to keep myself from going back to muted colors since that is what I'm drawn too, but I love how I had to stretch myself and I think they totally scream 7-year-old, not 27-year-old!

Monkeys in the Tub
The past few weeks Little Bo Peep keeps making her "monkey noise," (you know, "oh-oh ahh-ahh") every time she looks in the bathtub. I keep asking her if she is seeing monkeys in the tub and then proceed to tell her if she does that it's not a good sign. Well I'm not seeing monkeys in the tub, but i do feel the walls closing in on me. We started our kitchen remodel last weekend. I feel like I'm living in an apartment now. The kitchen is done with the demo stage (I'll post pictures later). That means I have a refrigerator in my living room and no dinning room table. There is so much stuff in the basement I can't bring Little Bo Peep down here to play so we are confined to the altered living room and our bedrooms. Last week we were able to get out of the house a few days and today we went to play with Marlena and Reece for the day. I guess I'm going to have to keep getting out for the day for the next few weeks so I don't start seeing monkeys in the tub, or worse elephants!
