Prep Day

Today I finally got Little Bo Peep's pool out. There have been many days that we almost went "swimming" but one thing or another has kept us from going. So today when she was taking her afternoon nap I set up her pool and got everything ready. Other than almost passing out blowing up the pool (the asthma and all...) we had so much fun. She loved her new pool toys. I found this pack of three squirt/squeak fish at the dollar store and she had so much fun playing with them. At first she didn't like the water squirting her tummy because it was splashing a bit in her face (I guess you can pass on fear of water in your face to your children...) but after a while she was trying to grab the water. When I started splashing my hands in the water she didn't know what to do, "Do I grab Mumma's hands or do I grab the shiny stuff around Mumma's hands?" She is so cute! I think she will be just fine at the beach this year.

Happy Birthday July

We have a few months through out the year that are filled with birthdays or other holidays. July is one of those months. The fourth of July was a lot of fun we had a small party with friends and then went to the fireworks. Most of Brad's family came over on the fourth for a BBQ. Today we celebrated the three July birthdays.

The whole family was there and we had a lot of fun together. It was a good test run for the beach trip in August.

Since this was the first time all seven cousins were together we had to take some pictures. This was a hoot since five of the kids are UNDER the age of four!

Pirates and Trees

Yesterday all I could think of was my date with Brad. Last night we went to see Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest. This was our first date post Little Bo Peep. The movie was so good!
How many days until May 25? I hate waiting for sequels...

My parents and their friends came over today to help us trim our HUGE tree in the backyard. We were out there for five hours and only finished 1/3 of the tree. It already looks so much better! I can't wait to finish the rest of the tree. It is such a blessing to have friends and family who will come over and help us with big projects like this.

Who Needs Toys?

I don't know why anyone would try to market baby toys. All they need are phones, remote controls and watches. Little Bo Peep is always grabbing at peoples watches or bracelets so I let her play with mine.














The only necklace she seems to like is my flip flop. This may just be a glimpse into my future. "Mom can I borrow..." Fill in the blank with any piece of my jewelry or clothing.

I have been looking for a toy that looks like a real remote or phone that has buttons and maybe beeps without bright colors. YEAH RIGHT! Every toy has color buttons or plays music, my phone does not play music! I guess my search will continue.

After Little Bo Peep had her cereal tonight she was a mess! Brad cleaned her up but missed some on her face. I went to get a wet towel to clean her up and noticed some more in her hair. Since her hair was already wet I went ahead and tried what I've been wanting to do for a few weeks....

Drool Bug!

We call Little Bo Peep our "Shnuggle-bug," but lately she should be called our "Drool-bug." She has been teething for two months now. Still no teeth but she is drooling more and gumming harder! Every time I take a picture of her I wipe her mouth off and then try to snap the shot before she starts drooling again. I gave up today.

July 4

Brad's family came over for lunch today which turned into dinner. We had a lot of fun sitting around spending time with each other and Brad's parents who are back in town for another visit. I never pulled out my camera. :( Oh well such is life. Here are a few pictures from the city's firework show we went to on Friday and a few pictures taken by our good friend Dave at our after party.

What Day Is It???

The past few days have all been a blur. I haven't known what day it was and I haven't known what I was supposed to be doing on any given day. Thursday I thought it was Friday; Friday I thought it was Saturday; Saturday I didn't know what day it was, and Yesterday I thought it was Thursday. Do you ever feel like this? It happens to me all the time. So Thursday I thought it was Friday and it was no big deal that I didn't post a new blog, then Friday came and I thought it was Saturday and I don't normally post on the weekend and I thought, "Well I might since I didn't post yesterday..." Yeah that didn't happen because it was really Friday and we were having some friends over for dinner and going to the city fireworks after. I was so busy I never came to the computer. Then Saturday finally came and the new Stampin' Up catalog was put on line so I was able to finally see all the new beautiful wonderful stamp sets I "have" to have. I was so engrossed in the catalog the whole day passed in what seemed like 10 minutes. Yesterday was also a blur. I don't really remember much... (I was sleeping a lot.) So here I am on Monday, I know what day it is and I know what I'm supposed to do, I think...
